As a Virtual Guide, you will mentor our parents and guide students by creating impactful and positive learning experiences. This is a unique opportunity to apply your passion for teaching, love of learning, and commitment to ensure that parents are equipped to lead their homeschool while also ensuring that each child’s individual educational experience is expanded and enriched. 

As a Virtual Guide, you will guide up to 10 learners per age group through our partnership with Outschool.  Virtual classes, fostering their educational development and growth. Teachers are expected to deliver classes following our class descriptions and actively share social media content. This is a temp-to-hire position, with competitive compensation. Applicants must be available to start immediately after clearing a background check.

Educators seeking a part-time, full-time or supplemental income can pursue this fully remote position.

What You Can Expect On Guidance Days

While your contract remains open to change and develop, the following are the meat of the role: 

  • Plan and prepare Montessori, STEAM and SEL lessons that fulfill all obligations listed in the class description.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and support. 
  • Manage and maintain student records and documentation in a timely manner. 
  • Communicate with parents and caregivers about student progress and class updates. 
  • Promote and integrate principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the virtual classroom. 
  • Utilize social media platforms to market and promote our learning community. 
  • Respond to inquiries and provide information to potential students and their families. 
  • Adhere to all policies and procedures, including those related to safety and confidentiality. 
  • Continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices to provide the best possible virtual learning experience for students. 
  • Develop weekly work plans (asynchronous work) to be shared with families and completed at home. Lesson plans should include modifications for learners with ADHD/ADD including but not limited to textbooks and other instructional materials that aligns with Quantum Montessori’s core standards, values, and mission. 
  • Provide assessment tools to measure students’ progress and provide feedback. 
  • Create digital content to optimize students learning and meet the ongoing need for digital resources (if needed) 
  • Establish feasible timeframes to achieve the goals and objectives. 
  • Develop new teaching techniques that align with modern technologies and approaches in education. 
  • Establish guidelines for parent-educators to follow when implementing new curricula. 

Requirements:

– Montessori certification

– Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is a plus.

– A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience

– Proven ability to engage and motivate students in an online learning environment.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

– Proficiency in using online platforms and tools for virtual teaching.

– Ability to create compelling social media content.

– Self-motivated and able to work independently.

– Flexibility in scheduling, as teachers can create their own schedules.

– Bilingual plus

Compensation

Group Classes: Educators are compensated $300 per month for each student enrolled in their class (minimum of 2 leaners).

One-On-One Tutoring: Educators are compensated $40 per 1 hour one-on-one lesson and $25 for ever half-an-hour on-on-one individual lesson
