What You Can Expect On Guidance Days

While no one day is the same, following are the core tasks for the Educator/Guide role: 

  • Assist Quantum Montessori Homeschool parents on their homeschooling journey by educating them about the Montessori Method of learning and assisting them with the implementation of lesson through one-on-one meetings and recorded video demonstrations
  • Meet with students weekly to observe, guide, supervise, and assess them through the Microsoft learning environment
  • Utilize Quantum Montessori pre-designed lessons as well as developing original lesson plans, independent learning exercises, curricula, and methods based on the child’s needs.
  • Provide STEAM learning experiences and hands-on experiments to make learning fun and engaging
  • Establishing rapport and build relationships with students based on trust and respect
  • Set an excellent example for students and instilling good values in them like honesty, accountability, understanding, tolerance, respect, love, and kindness
  • Handle various administrative tasks, such as updating student records in the school database

What You Bring to The Table

We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic educator motivated by learning and the lasting impact you’ll have on our students.  

Minimum Required:

  • Current Montessori Certification from a MACTE approved program
  • 2 years of experience as a Lead Montessori Guide/Educator
  • Experience working with children who have ADHD
  • Experience using Microsoft Education Suite
  • Necessary computer with a stable internet connection, reliable telephone service, and dedicated area to conduct classes
  • Effective communication techniques and the ability to relate and communicate to children, staff, parents, and Director
  • Growth mindset and ability to accept and implement feedback
  • Experience teaching in an online setting

Preferred but not required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or similar concentration
  • Current state teaching license
  • Minecraft Education
  • STEAM/STEM teaching experience

Important Facts

Status: Part-Time Independent Contractor

Starting Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour 

Hours: It is required that you commit a minimum of 5 hours a week to this role (hours may vary based on the needs).

Days: Flexible schedule

This position is a remote contract position, and the schedule is flexible. Classes are typically scheduled based on the availability of the teacher and students, with a minimum commitment of 5 hours per week.
