Virtual Montessori Secondary Guide

As a Virtual Guide, you will mentor our parents and guide students by creating impactful and positive learning experiences. This is a unique opportunity to apply your passion for teaching, love of learning, and commitment to ensure that parents are equipped to lead their homeschool while also ensuring that each child’s individual educational experience is expanded and enriched. 

As a Virtual Guide, you will guide up to 10 learners per age group through our partnership with Outschool.  Virtual classes, fostering their educational development and growth. Teachers are expected to deliver classes following our class descriptions and actively share social media content. This is a temp-to-hire position, with competitive compensation. Applicants must be available to start immediately after clearing a background check.

Educators seeking a part-time, full-time or supplemental income can pursue this fully remote position.

What You Can Expect On Guidance Days

While your contract remains open to change and develop, the following are the meat of the role:

– Creating and implementing a personalized and developmentally appropriate curriculum for students ages 12-18 in a virtual learning environment
– Conducting virtual lessons and activities that promote hands-on, experiential learning and foster critical thinking skills
– Facilitating discussions and providing opportunities for student-led learning and collaboration in virtual classrooms
– Developing and maintaining a positive and inclusive virtual learning community for students, families, and staff
– Providing ongoing feedback and support to students in their academic, social, and emotional growth
– Collaborating with colleagues to plan and implement interdisciplinary and project-based learning experiences
– Utilizing technology and virtual platforms effectively to enhance student engagement and learning
– Assessing and evaluating student progress through virtual assignments, projects, and presentations
– Communicating regularly and effectively with parents and families to keep them informed of their child’s progress and any concerns
– Staying up-to-date with current educational research, practices, and tools for virtual learning and implementing them in the classroom
– Participating in professional development opportunities and contributing to the growth and development of the virtual learning program.


Group Classes: Educators are compensated $400 per month for each student enrolled in their class (minimum of 2 leaners).

One-On-One Tutoring: Educators are compensated $40 per 1 hour one-on-one lesson and $25 for ever half-an-hour on-on-one individual lesson


– Montessori certification

– Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is a plus.

– A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience

– Proven ability to engage and motivate students in an online learning environment.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

– Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

– Proficiency in using online platforms and tools for virtual teaching.

– Ability to create compelling social media content.

– Self-motivated and able to work independently.

– Flexibility in scheduling, as teachers can create their own schedules.

– Bilingual plus

– Familiarity with Michael Waski Montessori Math (plus)
